WEEKLY WRAPUP

2021 Royal Enfield 650 Twins Launched, Bajaj Pulsar 250 Coming Soon, Yezdi Roadking Scrambler Spotted, and Much More!

A lot has happened in the past week including new launches, excluusive statements, and much-awaited announcements. Couldn't keep up with everything? Fret not, here are all the important developements from two-wheeler world:

Royal Enfield 650 Twins Become Snazzier

Royal Enfield has launched the 2021 Interceptor the 2021 Interceptor 650 and the Continental GT 650 in India. As part of the update, both bikes have received new paint options along with new blacked-out components, enhancing their aesthetic appeal. The  Interceptor 650 is now available in seven colours, while the GT comes in five. Most paint jobs are brand new with the Interceptor retaining two previous colours and the Conti carrying forward one. More importantly, the 650s have received a significant price hike as well which isn't really justified.

Bajaj Pulsar 250 incoming

After years of offering the same lineup with minute updates, our sources have revealed Bajaj is working on launching an all-new Pulsar platform. The first offering in the updated lineup will be the Pulsar 250, replacing the famous Pulsar 220F. It is expected to be the most affordable 250cc motorcycle in the country.

Yezdi Roadking Making a Comeback

An interesting test mule was recently spotted on Indian roads with a scrambler-type design. On close inspection, we found its engine casing to be similar to that of the legendary Yezdi Roadking, hinting that it could be a Yezdi Roadking-based scrambler. Not a lot was visible, but we notice the test mule's engine head and radiator were similar to the Jawas. The test mule also featured spoke wheels wrapped in dual-purpose MRF Kurve rubber, a chopped rear fender, and twin exhausts.

Bajaj Pulsar 220F Gets New Shades

In a not-so-surprising update, Bajaj has introduced new color options for the Pulsar 220F, just like  it did a while back with the smaller Pulsars. The 220F was spotted in two new colours: Moon White and Matt Black. Bajaj has also thrown in faux carbon-fibre taping on some panels.

Triumph Trident Launch Date Finally Confirmed

Four months after commencing its bookings, Triumph has finally decided to launch the Trident 660 in India on April 6, 2021. It is expected to be Triumph's most affordable offering in India. There's a lot to look forward to here since the bike packs premium Showa suspension, a fully digital instrument cluster, traction control, ride modes, and full-LED lightining. All this paired with its 660cc triple cylinder engine churning out 81PS and 64Nm, makes the Trident hard to fault on the spec sheet.
